House Nymeros Martell of Sunspear, better known as House Martell, rules over the land of Dorne. House Martell is not only separated from the other houses of westeros by culture, geography and history, but also by the way they address themselves. This Westeros house refers to themselves as princes, instead of Kings or Lords. More than a 1,000 years ago, the Rhoynar traveled across the sea following Nymeria, a warrior queen. Since so much of this house’s blood line has Rhoynar blood running through it, the family Martell is known to be hot headed, ill-tempered, do not forgive easily if at all and the woman are rumored to be wild.

House Greyjoy is one of the many houses of Westeros. It is not considered one of the more prominent houses and stays away from most of the events and tournaments held by the other houses. Their main castle is Pike located on the Iron Island and their holdings include the Iron Born. House Greyjoy not stays away from the other houses by location, west of the Westerlands and the Neck on a group of island, but also religiously. House Tully rule over the Trident and are the Lords over the Riverlands. This Westeros house rules from their main castle Riverrun, but are considered the least powerful house of all the great Westeros houses. House Tully’s bloodline dates back to the Age of Heroes, but are the only great house in Westeros who cannot claim royal blood in their heritage.

House Arryn is the noblest of the houses that came from Andal, because they have maintain the noble bloodline. The house rules their holdings in Vale from their main grounds at Eryie. They are said to be the most prepared for combat, since they have to fight against the wild men of the mountain, who terrorize the roads running through Vale. This meant that the house was faced with more combat challenges than the other houses.
